This site is a guide to critical, thinking. The site examines the common biases, misperceptions and faulty cognitions that lead people to erroneous conclusions, and provides a guideline for how to think more skeptically, more critically.

It begins by demonstrating the selective nature of our perceptions and the reconstructive nature of our memories. It then demonstrates how various environmental factors, such as context, influence our judgments. Finally, the various irrational methods, or cognitive shortcuts, we use in every day discourse are examined, to both understand the flaws in these shortcuts, as well as why we can and do rely on less than rational methods.
